5/29/2004 - Cleaning and Painting Parts

After 13+ years and some driving time in a different state there was a little corrosion and rust. The body is very clean. Many of the bolts and mounting brackets have some sort of rust and corrosion on them. This cleanup was not done in one day! This is just the date when I had most of the parts ready for re-install.

I have been waiting most of this month for the machine shop to finish the engine. This is what I have been doing during this time.

This is the paint that I used.

Dupli-Color Engine Enamel (500F paint) and High Heat (1200F paint)

Example of how bad some of the parts were

There is a good reason why most people don't bother shining these up...

Pain in the ass.
