As you can see, Mitsubishi did a good job of reducing weight. This is just a guide for how much/little weight you can remove by ditching certain parts. Note how much more the Optima weighs compared to the smaller battery, and regular batteries weigh even more. The seats, spare tire, and wheels seem to be the most obvious place to start.
